Farmer’s Lunch Sandwich

One of my favourites when I was working the fields on the farm back in Hexham. For the farmer in all of us, this combination will satisfy everyone.

Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf crusty baguette or ciabatta
  • 4 Dessert Spoons Whole grain mustard & Patto’s Apple Chutney mixed
  • 8 Slices Sharp cheddar cheese
  • Butter lettuce
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons lemon juice (from one lemon)
  • 4 Dessert Spoons Patto’s Caramelized Onion Chutney

Method:

Slice the baguette into four sections and Spread a little whole grain mustard & apple chutney on both halves.

Smear a layer of onion jam on the bottom half. Add a few leaves of lettuce and then top with a layer of cheese. Press the sandwich closed.
